Carlo Llanto is a Manila-based Architect. He attained the Top 2 Rank in the January 2019 Architecture Licensure Examination. Carlo graduated with honors as Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman under its B.S. Architecture program, while also being conferred the Gawad Philip Recto Award for Best Architecture Thesis in the year 2016.

 

Before taking the Architecture Licensure Exams in January of 2019, he worked with Arch. Edwin D. Uy of the Edwin D. Uy Architecture, Interiors, and Design Office (EUDO) for a period of two years, taking on a variety of architectural design projects encompassing residential, commercial, and hospitality projects of varying scales. It was during this time with the firm, where he also took on diversified project experience in digital and print branding design and production, as well as detailed furniture design for the office's projects. A writer himself, as well as an occasional speaker, he also advocates for a socially-relevant, mindful culture of good design and urban planning in the mega city of Metro Manila through his written work.

Outside the office, he devotes part of his time to artistic pursuits in painting, where he produces landscape and character pieces on paper and canvas. He also makes time for travel where he seeks out interesting landscapes and culturally-dense locales rich in experiences to inspire his work.
